Protector U-Joint Covers Intro Video
FAQ's
The most common question is "how do I grease it if it's covered?"

Why Cover My U-Joints?
3 Great reasons:
-
Keep u-joint grease off the undercarriage.
-
Keep debris from getting wrapped up in the u-joints (mostly at the front drive axle).
-
Keep u-joint grease off the roadway & out of adjacent waterways.
Will it cause vibration in the driveline?
The covers are lightweight (1 to 1.5 lbs each) & consist of 2 identical halves, so they are in balance. Correct mounting (according to the instructions) centers the cover on the drive line axis, eliminating runout & vibration.
How do I get to the u-joint to drop the shaft for towing?
We consulted with several heavy towing operators to address this very issue. Fasteners are large enough (5mm bolts), NOT phillips-head screws but Hex (Allen) socket heads (needs 4mm wrench), bi-metal (stainless nutserts & zinc plated bolts) so threads don't gall. Finally, the hex heads of the bolts are oriented to be 'trailing' in rotation on the cover at the front drive axle to make sure the hex heads aren't packed with junk. Simply loosen the 6 mounting bolts & slide the cover away from the u-joint.
